The Industry–Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), MGIT, jointly organized an Expert Lecture on 22 January 2026 as part of the IIPC activities.

The session was delivered by Dr. K. Siddartha Rama Kanth, Associate Director, Nangia Co. LLP, Noida, on the topic “Prospects of Green Hydrogen in the Energy Sector.” The lecture witnessed active participation from faculty members and students of the institute.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy garu, Principal, MGIT, motivated students to focus on state-of-the-art challenges and emerging research problems in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and future-ready technologies.

Dr. P. Ram Kishore Kumar Reddy garu, Head of the Department, EEE, highlighted the growing necessity of understanding Green Hydrogen and its real-time applications in the modern energy ecosystem, particularly in achieving sustainability goals.

In his technical address, Dr. K. Siddartha Rama Kanth emphasized that Green Hydrogen is widely recognized as a transformative energy carrier in the global transition toward a net-zero emission energy sector. He explained that Green Hydrogen has the potential to meet 5% to 24% of global final energy demand by 2050 and plays a crucial role in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors such as steel, cement, chemicals, and long-haul transportation, which are challenging to electrify directly.

The session concluded with Dr. P. Chandra Sekhar, Convenor, IIPC, summarizing the key insights of the lecture and expressing gratitude to the speaker for his valuable contribution.
